36 Week Bumpdate

Woohoo! We are officially down to four weeks until my due date! And, like I mentioned yesterday, depending on how my ultrasound goes next week, little Juliana could very well be here in less than a week. Eek! We still haven't even decided on a middle name..

As the time ticks down, there really aren't too many new updates. I'm feeling more or less the same as before, but possibly a bit lazier (if that was possible). The baby is getting bigger; I'm getting bigger. She's moving around less; I'm moving around less.

Although I'm feeling bigger, I actually haven't gained any weight since my 32 week appointment, which could be due to me watching what I eat. My booty is starting to show signs of stretch-age though. I'm hoping that if I keep upping my water intake, that will help with skin elasticity and the marks will fade on their own.

According to the ultrasound (and my pregnancy apps), the little one should weigh right around 6 pounds and be about 18.5 inches long, about the size of a head of romaine lettuce.

I've pretty much become annoyed with all clothing. My maternity shorts feel too tight, as do yoga pants. With regular dresses, it feels like my hooha is hanging out, so I've mostly tried to stick to maxis. I can only hope that something from my Target order will fit when it arrives next week.

Since I've gotten so much bigger, sleep has become more uncomfortable. Every night I dread having to roll over, because it becomes a whole ordeal. I can't just roll. My arms have to help and I have to go slowly and it's just annoying when all I want to do is sleep.

I have a giant to-do list for today, just in case next week is it. There is a ton of laundry to be done, along with the million other things that need to be washed/cleaned. Packing a hospital bag is also at the top of my list.

I also have to give a shout out to my little sis for always having my back and being so supportive (:

32 Week Bumpdate

Unlike the last bumpdate, I don't have very much exciting news to report from my doctor's appointment yesterday. Things are progressing just as they should and my blood pressure has continued to remain at a normal level. Aside from getting my stork pass for parking, that's pretty much all the appointment consisted of.

At this point I'm weighing in at a whopping 155 pounds. That's just over a 30 pound weight gain. I'm pretty sure I've gained more than I'm supposed to, but I really can't fight my dessert cravings. I've been lucky to avoid any stretch marks up until this point. My maternity clothes seems to annoy me lately, so I've been sticking to dresses or yoga pants with tank tops.

This week, my little one is about the size of a summer squash. She should be around 3.75 pounds and just under 17 inches long. According to my pregnancy app, Juliana now has finger and toe nails along with hair.

Baby J has been extremely active lately. Instead of kicking mostly at bedtime, I've begun to notice her movements more when I'm up and moving around. Oh, and speaking of moving around, I don't like to move around or do anything, really. Laziness Fatigue has hit me hard. I could would go for all-day naps if I could. I blame my laziness for not having a bump photo included in this post. I'm sure there will be one on Instagram before the end of the day.

Sleep has not been an issue lately.  Except for when Adri is in our bed. I'm not joking when I say I would sleep all day if I could. Even though I sleep pretty decently at night, I'm using tired again not too long after waking up.

Next week I get to go to the hospital for a tour of the labor and delivery ward. I could have sworn it was only an online tour now, but I guess not. The following day, I'll be headed back for another ultrasound. They're got to make sure that baby is growing as she should due to the blood pressure concerns and they also need to check if my placenta has moved back far enough to avoid any complications during delivery. If not, it could mean a scheduled c-section. Eek!

Not only am I 32 weeks pregnant today, but I'm also turning 27! Is it sad that I feel like I'm practically 30..?! We really don't have any plans for celebrating. V has a show at school tonight (which I'm rather excited for) and hopefully afterwards we can go out for cake and/or ice cream. Hopefully both.

Love, Alex

28 Week Bumpdate

I had my 28 week prenatal appointment on Thursday, and I'm so thrilled with how well it went. I had a ton of questions for my doctor, which he spent a great amount of time answering for me. I'm fairly certain that my appointment cut far into the following appointment.

Up to this point, I've gained just over 25 pounds. Even when I forget to take my blood pressure pills, my blood pressure has been well within a normal range. The results from my glucose screening came back perfectly. The limit for that is 130 and my levels were in the 70s. I was pretty excited about that since I've always had to do the repeat three hour test. Basically, the doctor told me that everything looked great and to continue doing what I was doing. So I came home and had two cupcakes for breakfast.

Several of my questions were related to my blood pressure issue and how it would affect the rest of the pregnancy. When I first started my pregnancy appointments, they labeled me as high-risk and said that I'd had to come from extra appointments. For now, the doctor said that everything could continue on as if it were a normal pregnancy. I will get to continue having monthly growth ultrasounds to make sure that Juliana is developing as she should be.

I've been feeling Juli moving a ton lately. She's still most active at bedtime though. At the appointment, the doctor also pointed out that I'm one of the 20% of women who can't lie flat on their backs without suffocating their baby, so she's most active when I'm lying on my side.

I haven't had any issues with sleep other than I'm still tired when I wake up in the morning. For a while, I've been staying up later to take care of blog or care package stuff, but I need to cut that out.

I'm no longer fitting in my fat jeans, so I've pretty much had to completely switch to maternity clothes. I've bought a few skirts that work for pregnancy and should fit without a belly and I plan to do that same with some dresses.

Friday I had one of those monthly growth ultrasounds, and for the most part, everything looked great. We got some amazing views of the baby's face and she definitely has the same nose and lips as Adri.

24 Week Bumpdate

This pregnancy just seems to be flying by (thankfully)! Today, I get to go in for my 24 week appointment. So far, the hospital has been really good about scheduling my appointments on the week mark.

Hubs and I have decided on a first name for Baby 3, who will now be known as Baby J, but we haven't been able to come up with a middle name that we like yet.

I've started to feel Baby J moving a whole lot more lately. She tends to be most active right around bedtime when I'm first laying down to go to sleep. Hubster has been able to feel her move as well, and if you watch carefully, you can even see her moving through my belly.

Speaking of sleep, it's been a tad rough lately. However, I blame that on Adri. She likes to crawl into our bed around 2 or 3 in the morning, forcing the grown ups to share one half of the mattress. I find myself occasionally waking up needing to pee in the middle of the night, but since I'm stubborn, unless I'm in severe pain, it waits until the morning.

As you can see, I'm actually starting to show. Gone are the days where I just look a little chubby. Strangers and acquaintances are starting to notice the bump. I've been living in my maternity clothes, which consists of a pair of shorts and lots workout clothes. I've been wearing dresses a lot lately, but I'm used to having thigh gap and I pretty much hate the feeling of my thighs touching. Sorry guys!

There haven't been any specific cravings, but I do love my sweets. I've noticed that the powdered doughnuts bringing on a bit of heartburn. I have a thing for noodles lately, but that's just because I got a taste of them and I want more.

I'm excited to hear my babe's little heart beat today. Both big sisters are coming along, which should be interesting. I've read about lots of negative experiences at Tripler, but so far everything has been wonderful. I've been able to see the same doctor every time and he's amazing with V and Adri. I'm sure one of them will get to help with the jelly or the heartbeat doppler.

20 Week Bumpdate

Yesterday was the halfway (hopefully) point for this pregnancy. Yay! I also had my ultrasound yesterday to reveal the gender of baby #3. You'll have to wait until Monday for that though.

So, how are things going with pregnancy and baby? Thankfully, baby is growing right as it should be, and my due date is still July 25. Everything at the ultrasound looked normal, which is great, because I was a bit concerned after the last one. The placenta was a little low, but should move up as everything grows.

I've been feeling pretty good. I've just started to feel the baby kicking. I have a little bit of a hard time falling sleep and staying asleep.  A lot of it has to do with the fact that I constantly have to pee. I've gotten better about going to the bathroom before bed, but honestly, even if I wake up in the middle of the night with an urge, there's a slim chance that I'm getting up. Yes, I am that lazy. And that's probably my biggest issue. I lack all motivation to do anything.

I've been doing my best to keep the girls busy. Since we live on a dead end street, the girls have been riding their bikes down there. There are still a few Pinterest projects that we haven't gotten around to. I'm relatively satisfied with how we've been able to space them out.

16 Week Bumpdate

Yesterday marked 16 weeks of pregnancy! We're getting closer and closer to being half-way, and being able to find out what the gender of baby munchkin will be.

At this point, our little one is about the size of an avocado, at 4.5 inches head to rump, and weighing in at around 3.5 ounces. I've taken some belly pics, but really, the pictures are still just of my chubby belly. During my last appointment, the doctor pointed out that my uterus was still very far down in my pelvis. Currently, it's a little bit higher, but still, my pictures are mostly of a food baby. The little should be doubling in size over the next few weeks, which I'm quite excited about.

Lately, I've been feeling really good. I didn't have too much morning sickness to begin with, but it feels like it's mostly subsided. I still crave a nice afternoon nap, but I no longer feel like I could sleep all day. Basically, I hardly feel pregnant anymore.

This week I'll have an OB appointment, where I'll most likely get to see the little one. Yay! The ultrasounds are always nice confirmation, especially since I haven't felt anything yet. I'm sure I'll have another update then.

I've decided to only do these little "bumpdates" every four weeks, since really, there aren't any super major changes that I'm going to want to blog about weekly. Third-child syndrome has already set in. Four weeks also works perfectly since many major milestones happen around these time. The next update will be at 20 weeks, which is when we'll be finding out the gender.
