Meal Planning Monday - Week 25

Can you believe that they year is already 2/3 over?! It feels like it's flown by. We'll be leaving Fort Leonard Wood in less than two months and in Hawaii shortly after that!

We did some shopping over the weekend to try and get ourselves a more summery wardrobe. With it being Labor Day weekend and summer winding down, I was hoping that there would be better sales, but that wasn't the case. However, I was able to get V a bunch of new clothes for cheap. Since Adri is the new baby, I always shop for her, but V is really the one who needs the new stuff. She doesn't have anyone to pass clothes down to her.

Saturday we spent the entire day watching football at a friend's house. I believe that all of our teams were victorious. How did your team(s) do? The wives chatted in the kitchen while the boys were out in the living room. They have a daughter that is just a day younger than V, so the girls were able to hangout with her all day.

Like I said last week, this will be my last meal planning post for a while. I plan to continue meal planning, but for the time being, I won't be posting about it. Since we'll be six timezones from our family and friends, I'd like to try to focus more on family life and the move to Hawaii.

  1. Sounds like you had a great weekend! :)

  2. The noodles with peppers and sausage sounds really good, I may have to change my menu up and a bit and toss that it the mix.

Our teams did really well this weekend in college football! Really glad the season is finally here...I can't believe I really just said that.

  3. pineapple chicken sounds good. the rest of that stuff you can just keep. monday meatloaf - yuck.

  4. It is so funny that you are loading up on summer stuff for your move, and we are over here in Alaska preparing for the ice age. haha!!

  5. Can I come over for dinner? Your week looks yummy!

  6. What is that with the damn stores? All of them have fall stuff already and I don't know if it was me or if I just wasn't shopping {which I don't really do that often} but I didn't see any end of summer sales.
Then again I haven't checked since I've been back to California and we are still 95+ out here so ...

  7. I haven't even tried to look for summer clearance stuff this year. I always get my hopes up and find myself disappointed lately. I've stuck to shopping at the huge kids consignment sales instead! I can completely outfit the kids for a season or two and spend under $100, for namebrand stuff! I love it!

I love hearing from you! Thanks for stopping by!
