Teddys From The Troops

If you're a military spouse, fiance, girlfriend, etc. chances are you've seen those Build-A-Bear military bears like the one below. Troops frequently give them to the loved ones that they're leaving behind as reminder of themselves and as something to hug. In the online military community I've also noticed an overwhelming amount of ladies that sleep with some sort of article of clothing the belongs to their service member.

An Army veteran herself, Pamela Larson, came up with an idea that topped the two mentioned above. By using her old uniforms, Pamela created Teddys from the Troops; stuffed animals made with military uniforms. Instantly, her kids fell in love so she decided to expand and market the bears to others in an effort to make deployments a bit easier.

There are several styles of animals to choose from and ideally, the uniform would be provided by the purchaser to be used for each teddy. However, there are also a variety of military fabrics available to choose from. Discounts are available when sending your own uniform.

An amazing fact about Teddys from the Troops, is that a free teddy bear is sent each month to a wounded warrior. Pamela also does fundraising for FRGs. It's a great deal if your unit has a deployment coming up soon!

For the past 2 weeks my animals lovely children have been playing, throwing, napping with this adorable little bear. It's super soft fleecy body has held up extremely well! These guys are extremely durable and made with love! V is in love with her "peddy bear" and takes him everywhere with her. The bear serves as a reminder of Dad and the uniform that she recognizes.

These stuffed animals are a perfect way to combine your service member's clothes with something that you can snuggle with and are great for both children and adults to feel close to their loved one.
