Friday Fun!

It's finally Friday! Yay! It seems like this week has been longer than usual. We have some exciting plans that should help to break up our tedious weeks. Hubs should be home by 10:00 this morning, so he gets to participate too! Family fun!

This morning started out with some frozen yogurt drops for the girls. It was something I saw on Pinterest, but never imagined how much they'd love it. We're almost out, so I have to make some more. They were so quick and easy to make too! I bought a big tub of yogurt to use for it, but I think that a single cup or two are probably the perfect fit for a large cookie sheet. I used the baggie in a cup trick, also from Pinterest, to fill the bag, snipped off the tip of the bag, and started making dots. ONLY the TIP! Like the width of a fingernail. I always snip off too much when I use Ziplocks for decorating and if you do that with this, you'll end up with a yogurty mess.

Since Hubs should be home early, I'd like to make a trip to the splash park. It doesn't open until 11 anyway, so I was planning on taking the girls for an hour or so before lunch and nap time. They'll appreciate some time away from home. It's nice and hot out too, which means they might actually go near the water.

The fair is in town through this weekend, so if this evening isn't too hot, I'd like to go check it out and walk around. Hopefully I can get some Cara Box inspiration while I'm there. I was phenomenally creative when it came to putting together care packages for hubby, but when it's for someone that I haven't met, there's so much pressure to get it perfect! The girls should have a blast with all of the lights and sounds that fairs bring.

I'm not sure what the weekend has in store, but I'm kind of hoping to make a trip down to the mall. I think the semi-annual sales are going on right now. Either way, I got a tank top at Express that I need to exchange because it has a little hole.

I hope that you all have a great weekend!

  4. I'm going to have to try the yogurt! My kids hate the "yogurt" puffs from Gerber. :/
