Cleaning House

What a fabulous day it was! I got up bright and early to get the girls and myself ready to head to post. I dropped them off and daycare and then headed over to Hubster's company to trade cars. From there I headed to the gym (for the first time in three or four months) and got a good CrossFit workout with the girls.

I was excited to get back home and start cleaning up, kid-free! I was able to get a ton of dusting and vacuuming done along with touching up the paint on the walls without having little trolls yanking on my legs. Absolutely glorious!! A couple loads of laundry got washed, but of course not folded or put away. I mostly focused on throwing trash out and either putting things where they go, or finding them new homes away from eyesight. Seriously, I feel like we have so much crap. Random nicknacks from various deployments.

I put some Pinterest cleaning tips to the test and was pleasantly surprised that most of them worked. It pisses me off beyond belief when I try a project and it comes out crappy. I am good at crafts!! Pinterest people lie!!:

Later on in the afternoon I had to go get some x-rays of my skull and neck taken. I keep getting these nasty headaches, so the doctor referred me for that. I have a follow-up appointment in a few weeks to see what's up.

Other than that, it was a relatively low key day. It's honestly so nice to be able to get away from the kids for a little while. They're always so much better behaved after spending a couple hours outside of the house socializing with other kids.

  1. There is nothing better than being able to clean without little around undoing all your hard work! My mom used to rope off our playroom after she had cleaned it... and now I understand why! Favorite pinterest card ever "cleaning with kids around is like brushing your teeth while eating oreos"!!!
