Meal Planning Monday - Week 19

How was everyone's weekend? Mine was good and bad. Since Hubs usually has a packed week, we decided to just hangout at home. No splash pad or dog park or anything like that. Just hanging out on the couch.

Saturday night we rented two Redbox movies, This is 40 and Django Unchained. This is 40 was pretty funny, and I can almost imagine that being my life in 14 years. Django was good, but disturbing. There were parts that I had to tell Hubs to mute it, because covering my eyes wasn't cutting it.

On Sunday I had these cramps from hell. I hardly ever get them, but when I do, its freaking awful. The same thing goes for when I get sick. I spent the afternoon curled up in the living room while my awesome hubby took care of getting the kitchen area cleaned up.

Week 19 Menu:
Monday: Chicken and Rice Casserole
Tuesday: Swedish Meatballs with Egg Noddles
Wednesday: Spinach Quiche
Thursday: Plantain Soup
Friday: Homemade Pizza
Saturday: BBQ Baby Back Ribs
Sunday: Pasta Salad with Grilled Chicken Breast

  1. We saw Django in theaters. There were a few scenes (like the fighting ones) that I just didn't watch. I "conveniently" had to go to the bathroom.

  2. I loved this is 40! But pretty much hated Django. Not my thing. Boo for cramps!

  4. I loved both of those movies -- although Django was REALLY long!!

I wish I could get my kids to eat soup for dinner! Actually, I thought about your post tonight when we sat down to eat. My daughter passed on breakfast and lunch, so I made a meal I knew she LOVED last time I cooked it. She took one look, and didnt want to touch it! Neither of the kids ate it. I finally gave in and gave them yogurt and some apples to put a little something in their bellies!

  6. LOVED this is 40. My husband and I still laugh about the "grab a lunchbox for me or the kids?" scene. I feel like that is my life now! I linked my blog with my two fav recipes right now. I don't have a meal plan for the week this week as we are headed out of town soon so it's grab what you can each night. Hope that is alright for the link up. Apologies as I am still new to all this.
